The next day we woke up really late. Enrique cooked some fried milk (I don't remember the real name), and then he took me to visit the University of Burgos. We had a really fun time with one of the beggars, who was going out of their way to harass Enrique. I pretended not to speak Spanish, but I was just about ready to stomp him when he finally sulked away. We hopped on the bus, and then he hopped on the bus. Our friend was following us around. We hopped off at the University and Enrique showed me some of the older buildings.
We had lunch at a restaurant near the school, and had lamb. This was probably the best meal I had while I was in Spain. We walked back to the bus stop where our friend was still waiting for us. We crossed the street and visited the science building. We went back to the bus station, and the guy had finally left.
We drove to the old part of the city, and went walking. Burgos is the only city I visited in Spain where visiting the cathedral and local square didn't mean climbing uphill in some way. Enrique showed me the old cathedral which they were in the process of cleaning. The difference was amazing. The dirty stones were gray, like you see in movies. The cleaned stones were a vanilla white. It was amazing to see that cathedral the way it was "meant" to be seen.

We walked around for a bit, and I found a bookstore selling "The Hobbit" in Spanish, which I snapped up. We met Abel by the opera house. I actually mean that he sneaked up on me. He looks a lot different than before. His hair is short, and he has the beginnings of a beard.

We talked for the longest time, and had dinner at a tapas bar. I had mollusk (oh yummy...) and something else I can't remember. Abel told us that he could drive us to Santander the next day, and he dropped us off at Enrique's apartment. We watched Aliens in Spanish (a very surreal experience), and then I hit the sack.
